KAHERAH 28 Jan. – Presiden Mesir, Hosni Mubarak mengumumkan perintah berkurung di seluruh negara ekoran berlaku tunjuk perasaan besar-besaran, semalam.
Beliau pada awalnya hanya mengisytiharkan perintah berkurung di tiga wilayah iaitu di Kaherah, Alexandria dan Suez, tetapi telah memperluaskannya ke seluruh negara.
Perintah berkurung itu berkuat kuasa dari pukul 6 petang hingga 7 pagi (waktu tempatan) sehingga notis pemberhentian diumumkan.
Pasukan tentera telah ditempatkan untuk membantu polis melaksanakan perintah itu dan mengawal keselamatan serta melindungi harta benda awam. – AFP
